As legend has it, we have been told that John Kruger laid out our original sporting clay course. Now we have created two 10 station courses, the original and one brand new wooded course that is a grouse hunters dream. Both course’s are cut out of the hillsides and are very unique in comparison to any other course that we have found. We have redesigned the course and added Pro-Matic traps and push button releases.

Although the course is constantly a work in progress, we are confident that our layout offers our clients the finest shotgun shooting experience around. The design is friendly to beginners and will also challenge more experienced shooters.

We welcome single shooters, small groups and larger groups or clubs and corporate outings. We will be holding competitive shoots in the near future. We also offer shooting instruction by appointment.

We have added a cover to our five stand course allowing you to shoot in inclement weather. The course is also lit for night shooting. The field is made up of eight Pro-Matic traps with push button release. This course offers an excellent warm up for upland bird hunting or sporting clays.

We have constructed a new tower for tower shoots. We will be holding tower shoots once a month (September through March) that will include a barbecue lunch. All are welcome to join in.

Catskill Pheasantry offers two-day shooting schools throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall at our premier shotgun shooting facility. Private instruction is available year round.
